Human Development Index of Aceh Barat Daya Regency 2022

One of the benchmarks for sustainable development performance can be seen in the Human Development Index (IPM). HDI can explain how residents can access development results in obtaining income, health, education, and so on. The HDI was introduced by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in 1990 and is published regularly in the annual Human Development Report (HDR). HDI is formed by 3 (three) basic dimensions, namely the first is longevity and healthy life, the second is Knowledge and the third is a decent standard of living. HDI figures are presented starting from the National, Provincial and Regency/City levels. The publication of the Southwest Aceh Human development Index 2021/2022 presents HDI data from 2018 to 2022. With this HDI data, a map of human development can be seen, both in achievement, position, and disparities between regions. So it is hoped that each region can be motivated to strive to improve development performance through increasing the basic capacity of the population and human development. The Aceh Barat Daya HDI figure in 2022 has not increased significantly. Therefore, special attention is needed from the Regional Government of Southwest Aceh to increase the HDI figure in 2023 by taking into account the three dimensions that make up the HDI. We hope that the publication of the 2021/2022 Human Development Index for Southwest Aceh District will benefit local governments and data users in particular, and society in general. Finally, we expect constructive criticism and suggestions to be able to improve our publications in the coming year.
